State
Committees
and
Commissions
on Indian
Affairs
Updated January
2010
The need
for state
forums on
Indian
affairs has
increased in
conjunction
with the
need for
improved
state-tribal
relations.
Traditionally,
these forums
have been
under the
direction of
the
executive
branches in
the states.
More
legislatures,
however, are
recognizing
the benefits
of having
dedicated
committees
on Indian
affairs or
state-tribal
relations.
This
compilation
includes
both
legislative
and
executive
branch
committees
and
commissions,
contact
names and
numbers.
Please
contact
Sia Davis
with any
errors or
omissions.
